Troyan is situated in Northern Bulgaria and is the nearest town to Guest House Oreshaka – just 7km from our hotel to the town’s center. The river Beli Osam goes trough the entire town. Evidence of paleolithic settlements have been found, but modern Troyan was first inhabited in the 15th century. Ever since then it has been a center for arts, crafts and religion. There’s a number of churches, museums and festivals. There are a number of nature reserves surrounding the town – you can hike trails, ride horses and climb moutains.
